Con Edison Energy, the owner of merchant energy plants throughout New England, responding to market conditions, requested a fast track implementation of a dual fuel conversion for two natural gas only fired LM6000 sprint gas turbines.
Waldron’s EPC scope for a fixed price turnkey package including all Engineering, Procurement, and Construction for the conversion. The scope of work included a new enclosed tanker truck unloading facility, No.2 oil bulk storage tanks, a fuel forwarding and conditioning building, water injection pumps, installation of all GE equipment on the turbine package, SCR blower skid upgrades, SCR distribution grid modifications and control system upgrades (Delta V).
