Newington Energy, LCC
Developed and operated by Consolidated Edison Development of New York, the Newington Energy Facility is a nominal 525 MW combined cycle power generation plant, producing enough electricity to meet the needs of approximately 500,000 homes throughout the New England region. The facility was built by Duke / Fluor Daniel and consists of two GE 7FA combustion turbines as well as a single 205 MW steam turbine. Waldron Engineering was brought in as the owner's engineer. Waldron provided full time construction oversight services throughout the construction process. We also dispatched engineering staff to provide on-site technical expertise to assist with commissioning and construction quality assurance. In addition, we represented Consolidated Edison Development's interests during the performance testing of the facility.
