Dabhol India Power Plant

Enron's Dabhol Power Project in Dabhol India has been shut down since June 2001 and has been up for sale. In 1999, Waldron Engineering worked on Phase I of this multibillion dollar investment as a performance test consultant to Bechtel. Waldron Engineering was brought on by Bechtel to provide expert advice during performance testing. Performance testing was an especially unique challenge due to India's large variations of grid frequency. The 600MW Phase I combined cycle project consisted of two General Electric Frame 9FA combustion turbine generators and a single steam turbine generator. The plant was designed and built by a joint venture of Bechtel and General Electric.
